xQc talks about Twitch’s treatment of Kai Cenat

Twitch and xQc have some beef about how Kai Cenat has been treated after his ban, as the prominent streamer seems to be getting away with his bad behavior.

Popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber xQc has chosen to raise his voice up against Twitch after the streaming platform seemingly showed quite a bit of leniency towards streamer Kai Cenat. According to xQc, its of his belief that the actions of Cenat would have been reason enough for other content creators like himself to be kicked off of the platform, especially after the streamer in question even threatened with leaving Twitch altogether in favor of the competition.

Felix “xQc” Lengyel stated during his live stream on May 9 that Cenat has not received adequate disciplinary measures from Twitch even after breaking the Terms of Service of the company several times, considering that the platform has been “pretty lenient” with him.

“Kai got away with f**king so much,” he said live. “Ok, reasonably so. At the time, he was new on Twitch… If you want to scope out and look at what people normally get banned for, he would have gotten banned like five or six times. I think that’s like the absolute minimum.”

While clearing up the situation by saying he didn’t want to “snitch” on Kai Cenat, he did acknowledge that the streamer could be doing this on purpose. “I’m not going to be a snitching Andy. Kai balled out super hard. This is objective. Him saying ‘Oh well he got banned for this, lol.’ If you want to scope out and look what people normally get banned for, he would have gotten banned like five or six times. I think that’s like the absolute minimum. I’m not saying that’s good or bad, I’m just saying that’s how it is.”

Twitch and the banning process

The most recent situation regarding Cenat was him getting banned from Twitch for 7 days, for the second time in the past few years, after his stream presented lewd content. Afterwards, he made the apparent threat of leaving the platform if he received another ban. Rumors have arisen about Kai Cenat leavin for Kick, a competing streaming platform, just as Adin Ross did in the past few months. He even unboxed a gift sent to him by said company during a live stream, teasing the possibility of making the switch.

In the meantime, Twitch has come under fire due to the recent banning of several figures, some related to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, some seemingly without reason, just as PewDiePie’s channel did a few days ago.
