Mario Kart 8 Deluxe announces DLC with 48 remastered tracks: price and details
Nintendo is extending the life of the successful karting title with a package of six packs with eight tracks each. They will arrive in stages until 2023.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have an expansion pass as paid DLC with a total of 48 remastered tracks. Starting this year, it will receive the titled Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass. This seeks to capitalize on the successful title that has already sold a whopping 43 million units worldwide, in less than five years. We tell you below all the details, including the periodicity of the arrival of these tracks, their price and availability.
"We've been working on remastering some tracks from the Mario Kart series," Nintendo confirms during this Nintendo Direct. And boy, are they. This pack will include tracks from the other eight installments of the series (that's right, from the other eight ranging from SNES Super Mario Kart to the mobile Mario Kart Tour tracks), which will arrive in waves until the end of 2023. It will be a total of 6 packs, which will feature 8 tracks each.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to expand for $24.99 with 48 tracks
In total, almost fifty emblematic tracks from the entire Mario Kart saga, making this Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a sort of "Mario Kart Ultimate". From the Wii Coconut Mall to N64 Choco Mountain or the Tokyo Blur Tour will be part of Delivery 1 of this Extra Track Pass. All the tracks can be enjoyed in single or multiplayer mode, just like the other tracks.
The price of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Extra Tracks Pass is $24.99; the first pack will be available this March 18, 2022. The pre-sale begins on February 9.
