Netflix's Marvel series will soon disappear from the platform: heading to Disney+?

Series such as Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones or The Defenders will soon say goodbye to Netflix after Disney's acquisition of the rights.

Update:
Netflix's Marvel series will soon disappear from the platform: heading to Disney+?

Netflix's Marvel series such as Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, The Defenders, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist already have an expiration date on the popular streaming platform. As of March 1, 2022, these series will no longer be available to their subscribers. All this comes as a climax after the cancellation of the different shows between 2018 and 2019, and the rights acquisition of those characters by Disney, as we recently saw in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye.

Farewell to Daredevil and the rest of Marvel's superheroes at Netflix

It's now been years since the Marvel series on Netflix began to be gradually canceled. The first of them was Iron Fist in October 2018 and was culminated in February 2019 with Punisher, Jessica Jones, and also the most successful series, Daredevil. These cancellations were gradual and showed the great separation that Marvel Studios was having at the time between their television series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Netflix's Marvel series will soon disappear from the platform: heading to Disney+?

Now it remains to be seen where we will be able to continue watching all of these Marvel series outside of Netflix, although it is most likely that Disney+ will add them to its catalog after the disappearance of such content from Netflix. This all comes on the heels after the recent appearances of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively.

Could we expect to see these series continue on Disney+ in the future, now under Kevin Feige's watch? We will have to wait for Marvel Studios and Disney's next moves and if they finally confirm if these series remain as canon within the MCU.
