Platforms where you can play Rocksteady Studios' Batman: Arkham

Rocksteady's trilogy is playable on current platforms. That is, the Batman: Arkham saga games are currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. Warner Bros. Games has re-released it in a compilation, although Arkham Origins was not so lucky and can only be purchased on its original platforms (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC). Still, it is backwards compatible on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Also, an as-yet unconfirmed adaptation for Nintendo Switch was recently leaked in a store.

The spin-off Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate was conceived for older systems, but can still be purchased on PC, whereas City Lockdown came out for both iOS and Android. To enjoy Arkham VR, virtual reality headsets are required, either on PS4/PS5 (PlayStation VR) or PC.

Rocksteady released Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009, a third-person action game originally released on Xbox 360 and PS3, while the PC version was released only a few months later. In this title, we go into the heart of Arkham Asylum to face the Dark Knight's quintessential rogue gallery. We play with a Batman who has gadgets and tools to infiltrate. The combat, rhythmic and easy to master, adds new skills as we progress.

The Arkham Asylum formula was expanded in the next installment, Batman: Arkham City. The gameplay is similar, but some aspects are polished and it has a much more open world, since it is now possible to explore part of Gotham City. This game, which was released in 2011, was followed by Batman: Arkham Origins, a product developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and serving as a prequel story. Meanwhile, the main studio was working on Batman: Arkham Knight, which was a generational leap.

Everything is ready for The Batman premiere in 2022. Remember that until then, you can check out our list of how to watch all the Batman movies.
