Update:
Tunic: how long does it take? Running time for the main story and 100%

Tunic is now available worldwide for PC (Steam) and Xbox consoles; with the surprise of having been launched simultaneously on Xbox Game Pass. There is no excuse not to give it a try: it is a unique, original and, in a way, a must-play video game. But how long is it exactly, and is there anything beyond the credits?

Tunic duration: hours to complete the main campaign

Tunic is a game with no strings attached. The explanations are noticeably absent, so from the first moment of the adventure, you will feel lost, without understanding how to save the game or how to get to the other side of a river. Little by little you will find pages of a book that is, in fact, the instruction manual. This freedom of movement, exploration and decision-making makes it difficult to determine how long the game can last for you. Considering this, we are going to tell you how long it has lasted us and what is the estimate that its creator, Andrew Shouldice, told us.

  • Tunic main story: between 12 and 17 hours.

It took us 17 hours to complete the game, although its creator gave us an estimate of around 12 hours; or more than 20 hours if we want to find all the secrets. It depends on several factors: your skill -we have died many times; it is a difficult game and that translates in the long run in more hours- and if you use help or not. A more skilled person will take less than 17 hours.

Tunic has an invincibility mode, perfect for game sessions in which you just want to explore and look for secrets, as if there were no enemies around you or you just want to reach the end without pressure. In that case, where the title becomes more accessible to players, you may be able to complete Tunic in 12 hours.

Warning: below, we will reveal what happens after finishing Tunic; no plot revelations, only content.

How long does it take to complete Tunic to 100%?

Once we understand how long it can take to reach Tunic's credits, luckily there are a lot of things to do. Everything is summed up in two points:

  • Start a New Game+: we keep all the skills and progress of our character in a new game.
  • Continue the original game looking for the missing pages of the instruction manual and find the rest of the secrets.

In our case, reaching the rest of the pages of the game has given us about four more hours, which brings us to 21-22 hours. Of course, we still have hidden secrets to find, we are still working on it!

Tunic is available on Xbox One consoles, Xbox Series and PC through Steam. Also on Xbox Game Pass.
