Coda: how to watch Oscar 2022 winner and other nominees online

We tell you where to watch some of the winning films of the 2022 Oscars, as well as the rest of the nominees on the different content platforms.

Historic. That's how the Oscars 2022 gala has been. Historic because no nominee had ever so violated the forms as Will Smith, whose slap to Chris Rock after a very hurtful joke to his wife at the expense of his health, is already Oscar history and a candidate for the meme of the year without a doubt -in fact, there are already media reporting that he could lose his award for what he did. But leaving that aside, let's talk about how and where you can watch online the films that have won or have been nominated for the Oscars 2022:

The Power of the Dog

It swept the Golden Globes and was the favorite with 12 nominations. In the end, Benedict Cumberbatch was unable to win the golden statuette after his portentous performance, but Jane Campion won the Oscar for Best Director. The Power of the Dog has been available on Netflix since December 1st.

Dune

A colossal, hypnotic and atmospheric work like few others at the audiovisual level, which adapts the first half of Book 1 of Frank Herbert's iconic work. Dune was also a favorite with 10 nominations, and has won 6 of them, including the Oscar for Best Soundtrack, won by Hans Zimmer, who had not won it for 27 years, since his iconic The Lion King. It appeared on HBO MAX in February.

CODA

The surprise of the evening, Coda is the remake of a French film about a teenage daughter of deaf parents who discovers she loves to sing. Winner of the Oscar for Best Picture and Adapted Screenplay, it is available on Apple+, with distribution finding a home on other streaming services around the world.

King Richard

A biopic about Richard Williams, an unapproachable father who helped raise two of the world's most successful tennis players, Will Smith has finally won the Oscar for Best Actor, although his achievement will always be tarnished by his unprecedented loss of composure. It’s available on HBO MAX on March 7.

West Side Story

Steven Spielberg's masterful remake of the iconic musical, which was released in theaters last December. Spielberg's visual sapience is evident in a constant lesson in shooting, editing and choreography, and as of this March it is available on Disney+, being the winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye

The film, which earned Jessica Chastain an Oscar for Best Actress and Best Makeup and Hairstyling, is also available on Disney+ and tells the eponymous story of Tammy Faye Bakker and her husband, Jim, who from humble beginnings manage to build the world's largest religious broadcasting network and a theme park.
