Update:
New PS Plus confirmed: three subscriptions, pricing, benefits, PS Now integration and more

It's official, PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now will merge starting next June. This was confirmed by President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan, on the platform's official blog: "This June, we’re bringing together PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now in an all-new PlayStation Plus subscription service that provides more choice to customers across three membership tiers globally," he promises.

According to Ryan's words, the main goal "is on providing high-quality, curated content", which includes "a diverse portfolio of games." And what are the different types of subscriptions available? Take a look at the following information:

All subscription options and pricing

  • Two monthly downloadable games
  • Exclusive discounts

  • Time-limited game trials will also be offered in this tier, so customers can try select games before they buy.

Prices:

  • $17.99 monthly / $49.99 quarterly / $119.99 yearly

PS Now will cease to operate as a standalone service and accounts will be migrated to PS Plus Premium until the previous subscription expires. "At launch, we plan to include titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal." Sony is working with PlayStation Studios and third-party developers to further expand the library.

The Spartacus project was leaked months ago on Bloomberg.
