Build me up

The best builds in Elden Ring

We help you develop a character capable of facing all dangers in Elden Ring. Decide what kind of build you like and what attributes you should raise.

The best builds in Elden Ring

Elden Ring allows you to fight with either blows or at a distance. Either with swords, axes or sorcerer's staffs. You have many options, but it is convenient to know the details to aspire to be a very powerful fighter. In this part of our guide we advise you on the best builds, recommended attributes and weapons to become even stronger.

Full screen

Melee Build (brute force)

A classic build. It doesn't matter if you play Dark Souls, Bloodborne or Elden Ring; if you don't want to get too complicated and have a guaranteed build to fight against any enemy, don't hesitate to go for something simple, but very powerful thanks to brute force. A combination of vigor, endurance and strength is more than enough to deliver fearsome blows with any weapon that scales with force.

In other words, your traditional "tank". Medium or heavy armor thanks to endurance, a good amount of health and a shield accompanying weapons such as the Halberd, any axe, the flail or similar (there are many valid options). Also, remember that most weapons scale with dexterity as well, so once you reach a level of about 60 in strength, dedicate some points to that area. And if you want to feel like in Dark Souls and remember good times, in Castle Morne (Weeping Peninsula) you have a beautiful Claymore ideal for this build.

Blood Build (bleeding damage)

This is a very special build that has become a favorite of many players. Bleed damage wreaks havoc on enemies; just check it with a weapon that has this passive effect. The thing is, you can make the most of it with a build focused on it. To achieve this, your goal is to have a powerful weapon such as the Bloodhound's Fang, the Moon Veil Katana or even a classic Uchigatana is sufficient. These swords generate bleeding quickly.

As for the distribution of attributes, without counting the basics such as increasing vigor or endurance to be able to equip yourself well, the key is to increase dexterity, which is the star attribute for any sword that causes bleeding. And when you have approximately 60 points, dedicate what you have left to increase arcane to further enhance bleeding damage.

Build for wizards

If you want to be a powerful wizard, the attributes intelligence and mind are your best allies. The former determines the power of your spells, while the latter increases the FP bar, essential to cast them and perform other actions such as summoning spirits. In addition, our advice is to take advantage of the virtues of the Meteorite Staff, one of the best in the game and the favorite of almost all mages (here we tell you how to get it).

In addition to intelligence and mind, the rest depends on your play style; you can choose to increase the stamina if you need a medium or heavy armor to resist blows, and in case you prefer to go lightly dressed to roll and always attack from a distance, then invest the points you have left over in Arcane, and even boost even more the intelligence. Don't forget to equip talismans that increase your magical power.

Build for archers

Bows are a fantastic choice for ranged attacks and they combine very well with other melee weapons for one simple reason: they all need to increase dexterity and strength (dexterity for light and normal bows, strength for large bows). The Longbow is a basic and highly recommended option, as it is part of the Samurai class, and you can buy it from the Twin Maiden Husks at the Round Table for just over 1,000 runes.

The most interesting thing about playing with a bow is that as you advance in the game you can find, make or buy arrows of many types, something that allows you to take advantage of the weaknesses of any enemy by attacking them with cold, fire, lightning or poison effects, among many others. Also, remember that you can use the bow quickly while riding a horse, an ideal tactic to keep your distance and get out of the area quickly if you find yourself in a tight spot.

Respec to reset the build

If you make a mistake when leveling up or you are not satisfied with the results obtained, or you simply want to try something different, in Elden Ring it is possible to reset any change. You can do it thanks to the services of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. In this link we tell you everything you need to know.
