In addition to several PS4 and PS5 bombshells for the service, Sony has confirmed the first classic games coming to the new PlayStation Plus. A list that... is just the beginning, and we're afraid that's the best we can say about it. The catalog of games from the original PlayStation, for example, amounts to just 10 names.
No Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Gran Turismo... or so many other sagas of our childhood. And those that are there are with the wrong titles (Tekken 2 over Tekken 3?). We miss big names that were available to buy in PSP and PS3 stores, such as Vagrant Story, and that for the moment have disappeared and it seems that we will have to wait if we want to enjoy them again on PS5. The same goes for the rest of the generations and later platforms (PlayStation 2, PSP and the missing PS Vita). Although as we say, it is only the beginning.
Before leaving you with the full list to see for yourself if your favorites are included, we remind you that the classic games come with the PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, one of the three new modes of the service. Access to them will cost $17.99 per month, $49.99 per quarter, or $119.99 per year, with the catalog being updated and renewed as the months go by.
