Returnal is coming to PC, appears in Steam database

PlayStation seems to have big plans with Returnal. The exclusive title from April 2021 on PS5, has appeared in the Steam database. The tab was updated this May 26 with some data pointing to Housemarque's game, such as the name of Selene's ship (Helios) and the Tower of Sisyphus, which arrived through an update in March. It is evident that the company is preparing its launch on PC despite not communicating the news officially.

Returnal, "a true next-generation game"

With those words our colleagues from Spain began their review of Returnal, where it received a rating of 8.4. Five months after the start of the generation, PS5 received a new exclusive that merged several genres to trap us in its loop. "These loops, which act as cycles, are the spirit of Returnal. Every time you turn on the game you will depart from the starting point. A journey, a crash and a hostile world: so on and on and on," they mentioned.

It was certainly "one of the great surprises" of 2021, and Housemarque created "a title with personality in every way". We praised the use of PS5 features: "It has earned the right to be a true next-gen game. From the clever use of DualSense capabilities to the 3D Tempest audio, which combined enhance the sensations even more. It is also an example of how to optimize SSD memory: we can say that it has no traditional loading times. Transitions between worlds happen instantly: nothing takes away your control.

In contrast, the postgame left little reason to stay stuck in the loop. Specifically, we pointed out the "lack of surprises that encourage you to continue" beyond a complete ending that adds more pieces to the puzzle. In addition, some mechanics presented in the final stretch "are not exploited" enough.
