The Last of Us Part I announced: date, cover art, trailer and all the details

PlayStation has been one of the protagonists of the Summer Game Fest 2022: The Last of Us Part I is official. It is a new version of the game, which will "modernize gameplay, improve controls and expand accessibility options". It will hit the market on September 2, 2022 exclusively for PS5. It will also do the same on PC (date to be determined). You can enjoy the trailer below:

All the details of The Last of Us Part I

The publisher confirms that this edition will only include the campaign of The Last of Us and its prequel expansion, Left Behind. The return of multiplayer is completely ruled out. In the absence of technical data, the trailer offers fairly crisp images of this version in real-time. The 60 frames per second are assured. It requires at least 79 GB of free space on your SSD memory. During the video, they emphasize that "it has been rebuilt from scratch" to take advantage of the potential of PS5.

On the website there is a special edition called "Firefly Edition", which incorporates a special cover that wraps a metal box, the first four issues of the comic book The Last of Us: American Dreams and some digital bonuses for the game. They note that it is "exclusive" to the PlayStation direct sale; we'll have to wait for further details.

Some rumors suggested at the time that this remake would have some slight variations in the script. However, if we look at the description on the website it seems that this will not be the case. The game will be released on September 2 on PS5.
