Bayonetta 3 already has a release date, another great game that will not miss 2022
Nintendo Switch confirms the release date of one of the heavyweights of its catalog for 2022, the return of Bayonetta, the queen of hack and slash.
After five years of waiting (since its presentation at The Game Awards 2017), Bayonetta 3 is finally a reality. Nintendo and Platinum Games have confirmed that the game will be released on October 28 on Nintendo Switch, shortly before Halloween, and is there any better than Cherry?
"In this third installment of the Bayonetta series, the unstoppable Umbra Witch must join forces with some familiar faces, the mysterious Viola and a multitude of other Bayonettas to stop human-made Homunculi from wreaking havoc," reads the press release shared by both companies.
"In the game, you’ll make use of Bayonetta’s wicked weapons and powerful new Demon Masquerade ability to blast, stomp and slam enemies with exciting over-the-top combos and demonic powers. Prove you’re the baddest witch around by battling an evil that’s bent on plunging humanity into the depths of chaos."
What's new in Bayonetta 3
Hideki Kamiya, the game's creator, has been saying for some time that Bayonetta 3 will exceed our expectations. He is so convinced of the game's success that he has even dared on more than one occasion to dream of a Bayonetta 4. "If there is interest, there is no reason to stop the saga," he declared. The author has promised important new gameplay features for this installment and strongly recommends us to play the first two before anything else.
The trailer with the release date of Bayonetta 3 allows us to appreciate some of these new features. The first is the barrage of Bayonettas that we will encounter in the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China and the rest of the places we will visit this time. We will have to establish alliances with them and try to save humanity using all their powers. The same with Viola, a real earthquake and a new playable character. Viola is an apprentice witch who will raze the homunculi thanks to her sword and the help of her companion, the feline demon Cheshire.
Another great game for 2022 that, delays aside, has not been bad for Nintendo Switch owners. After the launch of Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario Strikers Battle League and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, the plumber's company is preparing a busy summer with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Splatoon 3, which will be joined later this year by Bayonetta 3 and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
