What do the elements that appear in The House of the Dragon's intro symbolize?

We explain the intro to The House of the Dragon, the meaning of the symbols, the blood, and all details, which represents the Targaryen lineage.

Update:
What do the elements that appear in The House of the Dragon's intro symbolize?

One of the series that is currently giving more to talk about is The House of the Dragon, which, as expected, comes with a completely new intro. After traveling through Westeros in Game of Thrones, always emphasizing the protagonists of each episode, this time we have an intro that has nothing to do with that one, but... what exactly symbolizes this new intro, which shares soundtrack with the original series?

The beginning of each episode, explained

At the beginning of this intro, we glimpse a gear with a shield that indicates the destruction of Valyria -the place of origin of the Targaryen house-, devastated after the eruption of volcanoes. A little later blood begins to appear, filling this gear and after which appears a crown that is none other than that of Aegon I The Conqueror, first king of Westeros. Then we see another gear with the skull of a dragon, to discover his sisters -and wives: Visenya, on the left, and Rhaenys, on the right.

From this moment on, one of the branches is the truly important, that of Rhaenys, who discovers us Aenys, the son she had from her brother Aegon. After being filled with blood - that is to say, dying - we get to Alyssanne and Jaehaerys, who we already saw at the beginning of the series choosing a successor to the Iron Throne, and whose crown is the same that Viserys wears in the first two chapters.

From here on, no less than 10 different paths open up, although the one that really matters is that of Baelon and Alyssa, parents of Viserys and Daemon, two of the most important protagonists in these first episodes of the series. Obviously, Daemon has no line of succession -will he have one during the course of the series-, while Viserys has two different ones: on the one hand, from his marriage to cousin Aemma, we see his daughter Rhaenyra, while that of Alicent -daughter of Otto, Hand of the King- is yet to be developed, hence we can discover that of the Hightower house. Finally, the last thing that appears is Rhaenyra's shield -the necklace that her uncle Daemon gives her-, to finish filling with blood the model that Viserys is building.

In short, this intro represents nothing but the Targaryen family tree, focusing mainly on the characters we are currently seeing. We will see if in the future others will be added to this intro.
