When will the Ones to Watch come to FIFA 23?

The chosen ones will arrive on September 30, 2022 for FIFA 23, the day on which the standard version is released in all versions. There are several exceptions: there will be a mini-release on October 2 consisting of De Ligt, Bergwijn, and Renato Sanches; Sterling, on the other hand, will do the same on October 6 via SBCs.

How can you get them? Very simple: through the opening of envelopes or on the transferable market. There are only five items available by other methods, two for goals (Richarlison and Dest) and three for SBC (Kessié, Di María, and the aforementioned Sterling).

How do the Ones to Watch items work?

The Ones To Watch items are an offer already known by the whole community after EA Sports. Their stats vary depending on the performance of those chosen at their new clubs. In particular, they will raise their average if they receive mentions in the Team of the Week or as Man of the Match.

On the other hand, they can also improve with the 'Victories to Follow' mechanic, which occurs when their team wins 3 out of the next 8 domestic league matches from September 30 regardless of whether they play or not. There will be an extra special upgrade during the Qatar 2022 World Cup. If his national team wins a single match the player will be granted that boost in stats.

There are a few things to keep in mind in case the player's circumstances change. If he is transferred or loaned to a different club, he will keep the last upgrade until he receives another upgrade at his new team. In the event that he is released, he will no longer be eligible for further upgrades.
