This is Overwatch 2's Battle Pass: price, rewards, character unlocks…

Here are the details you need to know about the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass: Premium price, rewards, content, how to unlock characters and more.

Update:
This is Overwatch 2's Battle Pass: price, rewards, character unlocks…

Although it was not released without problems, since yesterday we have available Overwatch 2, after extensive experience with the original title, Blizzard has decided to move to the free-to-play model. This leaves no excuses for anyone who wants to try what promises to be one of the multiplayer games of reference in the coming years. As usual, it will continue with the format of seasons, each with its corresponding Battle Pass. The operation of this and the unlocking of characters are some of the main doubts of the players, something that we will solve below.

How much does the Battle Pass cost and what does it include?

We will find two types of Battle Pass in Overwatch 2, both with cosmetic rewards. On one hand, there will be a free one for all players, which will include all these rewards:

  • The latest support heroine: Kiriko, when you reach level 55.
  • 2 epic skins
  • 1 weapon charms
  • 2 souvenirs
  • 1 Highlight Intro
  • 14 additional items (gestures, victory poses, name cards, graffiti, player icons, etc.)

Prestige level titles (8 titles available only after completing the full pass)

Meanwhile, we will also have available the Premium Battle Pass, which will cost 1,000 Overwatch coins, which in exchange for real money is $10, although they can also be obtained by completing weekly challenges. It consists of 60 levels -plus the 20 of the free one- and gives immediate access to all heroes, including Kiriko. The rewards corresponding to this pass are as follows:

  • Immediate access to Kiriko
  • Battle Pass EP boost of 20%.
  • 1 mythical skin
  • 5 legendary skins and 1 epic skin
  • 3 Highlight Intro
  • 4 weapon charms
  • 3 emotes
  • 3 souvenirs
  • 6 poses
  • 6 name cards
  • +30 additional cosmetic rewards

It should be noted that once the Battle Pass is completed there will still be prestige rewards to unlock. In this first season we will be able to get up to 8 unique hero titles.

How are the characters unlocked?

As soon as we start the game we will unlock two of them: Junker Queen and Sojourn, being able to access Kiriko -and all the new ones- as we explained before: reaching level 55 in the Free Battle Pass or automatically when we get the Premium. Blizzard has assured that they will introduce the heroes gradually, as it is easier for them to balance the gameplay and their skills.

The different heroes can be obtained through the free Battle Pass by reaching the corresponding level, while Premium Battle Pass holders will have immediate access. Fortunately, there will be the possibility of getting heroes from previous seasons.
