FIFA 23 unveils all new updates and additions ahead of the World Cup
The Qatar 2022 World Cup is about to kick off in a few days and FIFA 23 is getting ready to bring the experience of the competition right to our thumbs.
The World Cup is about to begin and as EA Sports promised a few months ago, the most important competition in world soccer will arrive in FIFA 23. This will be a free update that can be downloaded from November 9 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, only Nintendo Switch being left out. A day earlier, on November 8, EA Sports FIFA Mobile users will be able to enjoy new features. Below, we tell you everything that will be added for the World Cup.
What awaits us on the field
Fans will be able to play with all 32 participating nations in a recreation of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, and will be able to do so from the opening match to the final. The experience even allows to swap qualified teams for others that did not make it to the finals.
In addition, FIFA World Cup: Live, a new live experience that will be updated during the group and knockout stages of the World Cup, will be available from November 21 to December 18. Players will be able to follow the matches and the authentic squads of each game in parallel to the event, and of course, to make the tournament evolve according to their own results. Finally, it will be possible to choose a nation and, from a chosen point, past or present, play a player's tournament by assimilating in the experience the accumulated data of the world with line-ups, statistics and rankings.
In addition, exclusive Christmas offers will increase the possibilities of FIFA Ultimate Team with new FUT campaigns that will be available between November 11 and December 23. The tournament preview will see items arrive with upgrades based on each team's actual progress. This includes authentic kits, stadium outfits, specific visual effects, match balls, exclusive commentary, etc.
Also from November 11 to 23, FUT fans will be able to get their hands on 30 unique World Cup heroes. When it comes to the knockout stages, there will be moments to remember and in the quarter-finals a new FUT World Cup class will appear.
Rewards for the efforts of your long-suffering thumbs and more
At the end of the championship, the best performing players will be rewarded by being promoted as members of the Tournament Team and offered boosted items to keep and keep forever in your collection.
The party won't end with the end of the World Cup. Next summer the fun will continue with the arrival of the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. In due course, we will keep you up to date with the latest news.
Finally, and regarding the EA SPORTS FIFA Mobile FIFA World Cup 2022 Tournament Mode (remember, from November 8), it will also allow you to earn rewards according to your progress and chosen difficulty in the tournament.
