Pokémon GO confirms Scarlet & Violet's connectivity and introduces Gimmighoul
Connectivity between Pokémon GO and the Scarlet and Violet versions is confirmed thanks to the introduction of Gimmighoul, a new Pokémon. We tell you about it.
The secret behind Pokémon GO's mystery coins has been finally solved. Gimmighoul, a new Pokémon coming to both GO and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet on Nintendo Switch, was unveiled this morning. And with this, it has been revealed that the popular mobile game and the upcoming Switch games will also be able to connect with each other.

This morning, the secret of the mysterious Pokémon chest website was unveiled, revealing the following video in which Gimmighoul was officially introduced:
Gimmighoul began appearing in Pokémon GO the day before, leaving its players perplexed and with more questions than answers. This new creature appears in Pokémon GO and will also arrive in Scarlet & Violet, becoming one of the new Pokémon of Paldea, the new Spanish-inspired Pokémon region where the upcoming title will be set.
In the video, we are also shown the "origin" of Gimmighoul, through a story in which Jacq and Professor Willow come to the conclusion that this Pokémon "manipulates people into gathering coins for them.”
Gimmighoul has two forms: Chest Form and Roaming Form. Gimmighoul's Roaming Form is, for the time being, exclusive to Pokémon GO and it is expected that we will be able to capture it soon in the mobile game, although no details were
Pokémon GO and Pokémon HOME will be able to connect to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
The same video also confirmed that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will have connectivity to Pokémon GO sometime in 2023 but with some restrictions; no Pokémon can be sent from GO to Scarlet & Violet directly and Scarlet & Violet will be compatible with Pokémon HOME sometime after release.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be on sale on November 18, 2022 on Nintendo Switch.
