CoD: Warzone 2.0 reveals its download size: you can start making some space now

The original game surprised everyone due to its size, and the new one isn’t far behind. We can jump into the battlefield on November 16.

The millions of users that enjoy Call of Duty: Warzone know well the difficulties of making space for the popular Battle Royale, which since its release in 2020 has been above 100 GB of required storage space , and that’s without taking into account the many heavy updates it received through the months. Now, with its new version (Warzone 2.0) arriving November 16, we already know how big it’s going to be on Xbox: no less than 115 GB.

We still don’t know the file size for other platforms (PC and PlayStation), but looking at the difference between the past entry’s versions, players can expect something very similar. Of course, Twitter user CharlieIntel hasn’t revealed if thos 115 GB also include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s campaign, since you don’t need to have everything installed at the same time.

Season 1 arrives to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0

With the release of Warzone 2.0, it and Modern Warfare 2 will begin their first season, loaded with new content. Classic maps, weapons, vehicles, game modes, and a Battle Pass… If you’re a Call of duty player, November 16 should be well in your radar.

The original Warzone is transformed

The 2020 version of the Battle Royale is going through some heavy changes with the arrival of 2.0, beginning with a name change: The first Warzone will now be called Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera from November 28 onwards. This means that after a period of server downtime, the original game and map will become playable once again as a separate title from Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare II. It’ll also get rid of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep, so only the titular map and mode will be available.

The developers have already warned players that, even though the original game will be available, there’ll be no content updates coming to it. If you want new stuff to see you’ll have to pay attention to Warzone 2.0.
