CoD Warzone 2.0 showcases the battle royale spectacle in an intense launch trailer

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is just hours away from officially hitting the market. The sequel to the popular battle royale lands with a launch trailer that reviews all its new features, including the expected DMZ mode that will complement the classic survival mode. You can watch it below:

Warzone 2.0 comes packed with new features

Al Mazrah is the setting chosen to reinforce the saga's new experience in the genre. The 18 points of interest that make up the map include classic maps that appeal to the most veteran fan, such as Terminal and Quarry from the original Modern Warfare 2, or Showdown from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, among others.

The Loadout will return after not appearing in the traditional way during its reveal at the Call of Duty Next event. You will have three ways to acquire it: in the stores scattered around the map, the new name for the so-called buying stations, by hoarding a supply in the game's events or by clearing the Strongholds and Dark Sites of enemies controlled by the artificial intelligence. In addition, by amassing money, you can purchase your main weapon directly from any store.

The gulag will also receive modifications to allow the AI to intervene, which will speed up battles that become stagnant. On the gameplay side, there will be interesting mechanics that will deepen the formula, such as multiple circles throughout the games, squad proximity chat, being able to interrogate enemies and grouping with other rival players to form longer squads; the latter will only be available in DMZ and in some special battle royale lists.

Remember that no element of your inventory and profile of the first Warzone will be transferred to the sequel, which means, all the cosmetics, weapons, and stats will remain exclusively there. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is scheduled for release on November 16 in free-to-play format for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. On the same day, Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will begin.
