Update:
Silent Hill 2 Remake: Bloober Team talks about remaking the rest of the franchise

The fact that Silent Hill 2 Remake is becoming a reality this very year and that Bloober Team was the studio chosen to tackle such a monumental task are facts that still have many fans surprised. Konami’s second game in the series is largely regarded as one of (if not the) best horror video games to ever have existed, and its return is reason enough to celebrate for fans everywhere. It’s also returning with several new titles but, what about the rest of the previous games?

In an interview shared by GamingBolt, the outlet asked the project’s producer, Maciej Glomb, about the possibility of the Poland-based studio to work on the rest of the games in the franchise. From what he answered, it seems like they would like to: “It still remains to be seen, but in my opinion, you should never say never.” Of course, this doesn’t confirm anything, but they could be referring to remaking other titles like Silent Hill, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, and others.

Silent Hill 2 Remake, one of the most anticipated titles of the year

In a 2023 filled with other new horror games, the remake of James Sunderland’s journey through a cursed city in search for answers managed to take one of the top positions in almost every wishlist. It is the return of not only a very popular title with renewed graphics and gameplay improvements, but also the franchise’s grand return to video games after almost a decade of silence and absence. There’s no wonder that many people consider it an extremely risky project, since any mistakes will be thoroughly dissected by players and critics alike. The studio is aware of this, and while they admit that they’re under heavy pressure, they intend to stick close to the original while making necessary changes to the formula.
