Giancarlo Esposito interested to play Charles Xavier in the MCU

The Superhero genre is still attractive for many actors who would love to be part of one or more blockbusters, being part of a shared universe such as Marvel or DC's future. If we recently echoed the desires of a famous actor like Pedro Pascal to be part of Marvel Studios, now we must pay attention to the words of another prestigious actor like Giancarlo Esposito, known for his roles in series like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Boys or The Mandalorian, in the latter, as the villain Moff Gideon. In a recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Esposito said he would be delighted to play Charles Xavier in the MCU.

Will Giancarlo Esposito be the new Professor X of the MCU?

Although the actor already has a career full of great roles, such a prominent role as Charles Xavier in the next Marvel Studios mutant stage would be a big step for him: "I love what Marvel does. I love that fans can see me in this universe and are proposing not only one character, possibly Magneto, possibly [Mr.] Freeze [from DC]. And the biggest ask is Charles Xavier," said Esposito.

"But, look, I want to play a good guy. And Charles is smart. He's good. But I feel as if there may be some mileage with me and Marvel. I know I love what they do. I know I love creativity. So, who knows what could happen. Keep putting it out there," concludes the actor. While waiting for the official announcement of the X-Men's landing at the MCU -probably after the final events of the current multiverse with the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars-, fans are already speculating which names could play iconic characters such as Magneto, Cyclops, Storm or Charles Xavier himself.
