Update:
Atomic Heart, the “soviet Bioshock”, reveals resolution and performance on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Atomic Heart, Mundfish and Focus Entertainment’s new first person shooter set in an alternative 50s era, has confirmed its available resolutions and performance on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This was revealed by the creators through a post on Twitter, where they stated that the game would run at 4K and 60 fps most of the time, but of course, with some exceptions. They’ve also gone ahead and talked about Steam Deck compatibility.

Atomic Heart and its graphics on PS5 and Xbox Series X

It was Mundfish itself, the developer behind Atomic HEart, that confirmed the game would run at 4K 60 fps in next generation consoles, meaning PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This was the studio’s official Twitter account’s answer to a fan asking whether the game would run at 1440p on console. And while its creators claim it will be a “solid” 60 fps, they also mentioned that they plan to have Dynamic resolution, which means it could very well vary depending on what part of the map you’re playing at any moment.

They did however guarantee that when the player finds themselves inside of a dungeon (we’re guessing instances, closed off environments) the graphics will stay at the promised 4K 60 fps performance. It’s safe to think that once in the open environments of the overworld the resolution could be downscaled to guarantee the fluidity of 60 fps, which is what the mention of “Dynamic Resolution” could be implying.

On the other hand, another user asked about the game’s compatibility with Valve’s Steam Deck; Mundfish admitted that they’re currently working to offer full compatibility with the new portable device from launch day, although they’re still not willing to guarantee that this will be the case.
