Hajime Isayama admits that he has considered making a manga telling Levi's story, but he is still determining if he will have the strength to carry it out.
There are few characters cooler than Levi Ackerman. The captain of the Survey Corps has burned so many badass scenes in our retina (Kenny's chase, the strategy against the Beast Titan...) that he has won the hearts of each and every one of the fans of Shingeki no Kyojin. But it has also conquered its creator, Hajime Isayama, who confessed in an interview for Crunchyroll that he has in mind a series spin-off based solely on his person. These were his words:
"Regarding Levi, I actually have something in my mind, but at the same time, I don’t know if I will be able to write that or not. I have imagined what the story of Levi would be in my mind, but at the same time, whether I am able to output it, that’s a whole other story because writing a manga is a really difficult task for me.." Isayama has had such a hard time with the final stretch of Attack on Titan that we have even seen him apologize in tears for the controversial ending of the series. It's normal that the last thing he wants to do now is to go back to work on it. But if someday he is encouraged, it is clear that Levi's option will be on the table.
When is Part 3 of the Final Season of Shingeki no Kyojin coming out?
The author's statements come just hours after we learned the release date of Part 3 of the final season of Attack on Titans, which has made the meme come true by confirming that it will once again be split into two parts. Part 1 of Part 3 of Season 4 (the joke tells itself) will premiere on March 3, 2023, while Shingeki no Kyojin S4.3.2 will premiere later this year, on a date yet to be determined. Here is its first trailer:
