Fortnite patch 23.30 arrived on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. It is the fourth content update of Fortnite Chapter 4 - Season 1. How to download the latest Fortnite patch: update 23.30
To download the latest Fortnite patch, simply open the game. It will ask us to update it, and we just have to download what we are asked. In this case, we log in on January 31 at 4am ET / 1am PT.
All the new cosmetic items in Fortnite patch 23.30
Fortnite Battle Royale patch 23.30 has brought with it new cosmetic items in the form of outfits, back blings, Pickaxe, and more. The most important items in this update are the new outfits of Son Gohan and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Super.

New Weapons and Items in Fortnite Patch 23.30
Fortnite patch 23.30 has brought the following changes to weapons and items:
- The Nimbus Cloud and Kamehameha from Dragon Ball Super return with this update.
- A Tactical Pistol of Mythic Rarity has been added. It is obtained as part of one of the new Reality Augments (read more below).
New Reality Augmentations added in Fortnite Patch 23.30
Fortnite Patch 23.30 has also added new Reality Augmentations:
- Shadow Striker: Become able to find Shadow Bombs from containers.
- Harvester: Foliage you destroy will drop Big Bush Bombs and forageables. Also increases the effectiveness of eating forageables.
- Mythic Munition: Obtain a Mythic Pistol.
- Icy Slide: Gain a brief icy speed boost briefly after sliding.
- Rift-jector Seat: Anytime your shield breaks, you’ll rift into the sky after a short delay.

Here's what's expected to be fixed or changed in Fortnite with Patch 23.30:
Fortnite General Changes and Fixes
- Players are unable to claim the Exile variation of the Mind’s Eye back bling
- Physics on the Joni the Red Outfit’s cape are now behaving correctly.
- The helmet on the Battle Hound and Molten Battle Hound Outfits no longer appears sideways.
- Players are getting a blue lobby background
- Bonus Rewards ‘Pre-requisite Not Met’ Issue
- General Battle Royale changes and fixes
- Players no longer take fall damage when sliding and using the Shockwave Hammer.
- Players can again Emote after a Victory Royale.
- Red dot missing when scoping with Red-Eye Assault Rifle
- Fixed the issue that caused us to disable the Party Time Reality Augment. This Reality Augment is now re-enabled.
- The “Shotgun Striker” Augment is temporarily disabled
- The “Aerialist” Augment has been temporarily disabled
Creative Mode changes and fixes
- Wildlife takes fall damage with fall damage set to off
- Placing a prop and switching to the pickaxe at the same time places an invisible prop
- Players can build in Mutator Zone Devices with “Allow Building” set to “No” in certain instances
- Props attached to prop manipulator devices can show in game despite the device being disabled
- Props may turn green while selecting after placing them under terrain
- Sequencers do not always play correctly when set to infinitely loop
- When entering the menu, navigating the menu with a controller will send the cursor back to the top of the menu
Save the World Changes and Fixes
- An unfixed bug is causing terrain issues in the Autumn Foothills biome.
Nintendo Switch and Mobile version changes and fixes.
- Battle Pass Button confirm sound sometimes plays on any initial button press with touch
- On touch devices, the Falcon Scout no longer goes up or down without players touching any button.
Competitive Fortnite notes
- The Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) items are not included in competitive playlists.
- The Rift-jector Seat Reality Augment is not included in competitive playlists.
