Capcom Spotlight March 2023: everything announced

After 25 minutes of presentation, Capcom gave an update on all the games and projects they have on the way for 2023. While there were no new announcements, they did give new details on titles we already knew about, some with release dates closer to what we expected. Here's what Capcom announced this afternoon.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

The Mega Man series, which originated on the Game Boy Advance, is back with a collection of 10 games coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam. Travel back in time (or is it the future?) and solve crimes in the cyber world with the help of MegaMan.EXE.

The game will feature the 499 Patch Cars, which were only available in physical form in Japan, and can be used starting with Battle Network 4. It will also feature the Buster MAX mode to speed up the gameplay by increasing the power of the MegaBuster to 100. This version will also feature more than 1000 illustrations and 188 songs to enjoy in its gallery mode.

This collection will also be sold separately with Volume 1 and Volume 2. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be released on April 14th.

Street Fighter 6

The new installment of Street Fighter is about to be released, and in addition to reminding us of the game modes it will come with (Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub), today's presentation focused on the analysts that the game will include.

Japanese actress Hikaru Takahashi joins the roster of analysts and commentators, bringing the total to 8. The analysts' commentary will be provided in real-time to match the action and add to the excitement of the fights. These commentaries will be subtitled in up to 13 languages.

Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for release on June 2, 2023, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Steam.

Capcom Town

Capcom will celebrate its 40th anniversary in June, and as part of the celebration, a digital theme park called Capcom Town will open. This will include a digital museum called Capcom Town, which will open on June 12. For more information, you can visit its website, when it'0s available.

Exoprimal

A new glimpse was given of this team action game where you use exo-suits to fight dinosaurs. During the presentation, a new trailer was shown that gives more details about the story, the characters and the time travel details of the game.

Exoprimal will have an open beta test that will take place from March 17th to 19th, where you will be able to try out the 8 exoarmors previously seen, plus the 2 new ones presented today. In addition to these details, it was announced that the game will have a Survival Pass, which will have 2 levels, one free and one premium, the latter unlocking aspects of both the exoarmor and the weapon. At the same time, Exoprimus will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

Exoprimal arrives on July 14 and will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.

Ghost Trick

The classic mystery game from the creator of Ace Attorney is back in this revamped high-definition version. The title was presented in the latest Nintendo Direct a few weeks ago, and this time we have more details about this remaster.

In this game where we control the soul of a person who has lost his memory and life, we will discover a mystery of who he is and why he died thanks to the power of the dead to possess objects and thus change fate. This version has updated graphics, a higher frame rate per second, and an updated user interface. It also has a challenge mode that allows us to unlock art and music from the game. In addition, all 37 music tracks have been rearranged and can be switched between the original and these new versions.

Ghost Trick will be available on June 30th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation4, Xbox One, and Steam. Pre-orders are available now.

Monster Hunter Rise

The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion will be released on April 28 for Xbox Series, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. This update will add new monsters, scenarios, and actions, bringing the game up to version 3.13. The Nintendo Switch and Steam versions will also receive updates, which will be revealed at a digital event in April.

Resident Evil Death Island

A new look at the Resident Evil: Death Island animated movie, set for release in the summer of 2023.

Resident Evil 4

A new look at the Resident Evil 4 remake was shown. It shows a "new yet familiar experience". The new trailer ends by announcing what has been speculated all day, the arrival of Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo, which is available today and takes place at the beginning of the game. This demo will have no time limit and can be played as many times as you want. This demo will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, and Steam.

Resident Evil 4 will be released on March 25th.
