Update:
Dwayne Johnson speaks out about Black Adam and Henry Cavill’s Superman

Dwayne Johnson has finally opened up about the departure of his character from DC, Black Adam, after the premiere of the film, as well as the dismissal of Henry Cavill’s Superman after announcing his return through the famous post-credit scene of the film starring The Rock. After months of silence, the actor who briefly gave life to the anti-hero Black Adam is finally honest about its flop at the box office in a recent interview with Variety, all through a clip that you can see below.

Black Adam and the fleeting return of Superman

Thus, Dwayne Johnson himself admits that his goal was to surround himself with the best team possible to make Black Adam a reality: “All I could do and all we could do when we were making Black Adam was to put our best foot forward, surround ourselves with the best people and then also, deliver the best movie we could. Our audience score was in the 90s. Critics took a couple of shots,But that's just the business of it, though”, admits the actor about the response of critics and public to Black Adam.

Although what the fans expected was Dwayne Johnson's version of the controversial return of Henry Cavill as Superman in the Black Adam post-credits scene, a fleeting appearance that was to confirm his return to the role but that quickly amounted to nothing with the new plans James Gunn and Peter Safran brought to a new DCU, which include a different Superman.

Dwayne Johnson himself ensured that the DCEU could resemble a professional soccer franchise that changes hands: “It's almost like when you have a pro football team, and your quarterback wins championships, the coach wins championships. and then you have a new owner, and the new owner comes in and says “not my coach, not my quarterback, I'm going to go with somebody new,'” Dwayne Johnson concludes about the decision to leave the actor out. And that also applies to his Black Adam.
