Sea of Stars is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, confirms a demo in every platform

Sabotage Studio has admitted that the announcement was a long time coming, but it is finally a reality: Sea of Stars, the Chrono Trigger-style RPG from the creators of The Messenger will also be released on Microsoft consoles. Through a message on Kickstarter, the company has officially confirmed that the role-playing title will be released on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. On the other hand, they have announced that they will release the Nintendo Switch demo on the rest of the devices where the game will be available.

"Since the very beginning, we were secretly hoping to be able to cover all current and previous generation consoles." Taking into account the vicissitudes of production, they had to refer only to the fact that they would launch it on PC and consoles "to avoid having to walk some things back." With that said, the wait is over: “We are delighted to finally confirm the addition of Xbox to the party!.”

Sea of Stars will be available on August 29 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. As if that were not enough, the demo can already be downloaded in the Nintendo hybrid console, and it will come out on the rest of the platforms later.

Physical editions will arrive later

In the same message, Sabotage informed patrons that although the digital edition can be downloaded from August 29, the physical edition will take longer. “Physical copies need time to be produced and shipped once the gold master build is ready.” The developers studied different possibilities, but in the end, they determined that the digital version should come out as soon as it was finished. However, those who reserve a physical copy will receive a digital one from the day of launch.
