2022 Little League World Series: What teams are left and who’s playing on Wednesday?
The Little League World Series is heading into its final few days, and a number of teams have already been eliminated. Which ones are left standing?
It’s the 75th anniversary of the Little League World Series, and it returned to international play this year, after the covid-19 pandemic forced an all-USA tournament last year. The competition has expanded to 20 teams from the original 16 that the Series has had for almost all the years since it was formed.
The best young baseball players in the world are slugging it out in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in two brackets- one for the United States and another for international teams.

Little League World Series: Double elimination format
The tournament features a double-elimination format which means that even if a team loses their first game, they will still have an opportunity to compete for the trophy. All of the teams have at least three games to play- the winning teams in each round move on in the winner’s bracket, while the losing teams join the elimination bracket.
The team that wins the United States championship will go up against the International championship winners in one final winner-take all game. The championship match will be played in Lamade Stadium, which can seat 10,000 and accommodate up to 40,000 people.
The teams who lose the US and International championships will play against each other to battle for third place.
