Day five of the 2023 Caribbean Series sees it all to play for with Mexico leading the pack with a 4-1 record, while the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and defending champions Colombia all nipping at their heels at 3-2.

Day four’s games were a high-scoring bunch, with Colombia topping Curaçao by a score of 6-5, as Mexico matched that score as they defeated Cuba. A pair of 3-2 games saw Panama beat Puerto Rico and hosts Venezuela took the win off the Dominican Republic.

This is the 65th incarnation of the series, and the crowds in Caracas, Venezuela are enjoying some top-flight competition as they host the tournament for the 15th time. Dominican representatives Tigres de Licey are giants of the competition, having won it 10 times, as part of the DR’s astounding 21 Caribbean titles.
