2023 WORDL BASEBALL CLASSIC

2023 World Baseball Classic: Nicaragua team roster | Loaisiga, Ramirez, Cuthbert, Blandino

Here’s how Team Nicaragua’s roster will look for the 2023 World Baseball Classic held from March 8 to March 21.

Team Nicaragua have made it to World Baseball Classic for the first time ever with an impressive finish in the qualifying round, beating both Pakistan and Argentina. But just because this is their first WBC, don’t make the mistake of underestimating them. They have a long history in the WBC’s predecessor, the Baseball World Cup, where they finished as runner up five times. There is a sting in their tail for those who don’t show them respect.

Along with Panama, Nicaragua are one of the strongest sides in Central America, and this baseball-mad country reacted with euphoria to their qualification. Landing in Pool D, they will play their group stage games in Miami’s LoanDepot Park, where a strong and vocal fan base can be expected to push them on. They are in what is perhaps the toughest group with Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico looking to top the table, not to mention a very solid Israeli side who will put up a struggle for every run.
