Team USA confirmed lineup and starting pitcher against Venezuela in the 2026 World Baseball Classic final

Team USA will face Venezuela in the 2026 final. The roster is loaded with talent on the mound and in the field, but they’ll need everything to fall into place to get past a well-rounded Venezuelan team.

Team USA has received a lot of criticism so far in the World Baseball Classic, mainly due to their surprising loss to Italy, in which many analysts questioned the strategy of skipper Mark DeRosa and the mentality of the players. Thanks to Team Italy, USA got into the quarterfinals where they beat Canada in a close 5-3 game that could have gone the other way. The Dominican Republic faced Team USA in a pitchers duel that could have gone either way.

All signs indicate that the team has come to realize that this is an important tournament for fans and players and several roster changes have been made. Pitchers Jeff Hoffman, Will Vest, Tyler Rogers, Tim Hill and Joe Ryan have joined the team to give the bullpen some more depth.
