Here’s how Team Panama’s roster will look for the 2026 World Baseball Classic held from March 5 to March 17.
2026 World Baseball Classic: Panama team roster | Probable lineup and pitching rotation
Team Panama come into this WBC as one of the strongest and most experienced teams in the competition. While they are perhaps lacking the star power of some of their opponents, everyone on the roster is a solid MLB star or top prospect for the Show.
Along with Nicaragua, Panama has long been the strongest baseballing nation in Central America, and they are looking to stretch their legs in this tournament.
For their two friendly games before the tournament, Panama will start Jorge García against the Yankees on March 3 and Jaime Barría will take the mound against the Tigers on March 4.

The pitching staff for Team Panama will carry them a long way and while they have some strong bats, it is really their defense that will see them over the line.

They have a tough hill to climb out of Pool A, which will see them travel to San Juan for their group games. Cuba, Colombia and Canada will be their biggest rivals for the second round spot, not to mention powerhouse and home team Puerto Rico. A few hot bats could be the key ingredient for this Panamanian squad to see their fortunes rise.
