Baseball superstar Aaron Judge is a free agent for the first time in his MLB career, and which team he will eventually join is still anybody’s guess. However, the field of his possible landing places seems to be narrowing. Aside from the New York Yankees who are still bent on keeping him on the team, there are two potential suitors for the outfielder, both teams located in the west coast.

The player believed to be the top free agent this offseason has arrived in San Francisco, and is expected to speak with the Giants this Thanksgiving week. Judge was coy about his Bay Area trip, saying with a smile that he was “just visiting some family and friends” as he seemed to be going into a hotel.

Giants players ready to welcome Judge

The meeting may or may not bear fruit, but outfielder Joc Pederson has already communicated that he is ready for the star slugger to join their team.

In an Instagram story, Pederson wrote, “We’re ready when you are,” as a caption to a photoshopped image of Judge in a San Francisco uniform.

Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford and pitcher Logan Webb quickly seconded Pederson, both of them reposting the photo. Crawford added some text saying, “That uni looks nice.”

What about the Dodgers?

Another team that could seriously woo Judge is the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team has cleared a considerable amount off the books after offloading a number of players from the roster. This means the Dodgers have an available spot for him and can now afford the four-time All-Star in terms of having a huge deal to put on the table.

Whoever lands the current AL MVP, the one thing that is certain is that Judge will end up with a contract that is likely to make him the highest-paid position player in the league.
