The 28-year-old hasn’t played in the league for nearly two years after admitting to a domestic violence charge in 2023.

Agent of Julio Urías reveals what’s next for troubled star as MLB suspension ends
It’s been nearly two years since Julio Urías last threw a pitch for the LA Dodgers, since footage emerged of him attacking his wife outside an LAFC soccer game.
The Mexican pitcher was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence and the city attorney’s office subsequently filed five misdemeanor charges against him. Four of them were dismissed, but he accepted a sentence on the other, a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. Urías agreed to attend a a year-long domestic violence treatment program and he was hit with a serious MLB suspension.
He was initially placed on administrative leave by the Dodgers for the final month of the 2023 season, just before he was set to become a free agent for the first time. It was then extended through the 2025 All-Star break.
Julio Urías has been suspended through the 2025 All-Star break for violating MLB's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.

From July 17, Urías will be eligible to sign with any Major League Baseball team for the second half of the season. Speaking recently, his agent Scott Boras told the Los Angeles Times that his client wants to return to the league.
“He said he has every intention of continuing his career,” Boras said. “He’s getting in shape. Obviously, he’ll have options available.”
Boras has so far refused to discuss any specifics of the potential landings spots for Urias, but it is though that multiple teams have checked in on Urias to see if he could be an asset. Boras added: “It depends on how teams view the situation and view his skill.”
Julio Urías has played with the Dodgers for his entire major league career and was poised to be the face of the franchise before his suspension in 2023. His best seasons came in 2021 and 2022, when he solidified himself as one of the best pitchers in the majors.
