The New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners played their second game of the series and welcomed a special guest to the field, Anthony Fauci, who is the Chief Medical Advisor to the U.S. President, and the person responsible for combating the pandemic in the United States.

Lots of people are not very satisfied with the work done by Fauci in the response to covid-19, given the loud boos that were heard at T-Mobile Park.

Despite the loud diapproval, there was also applause for the medical specialist, who raised his fist after the launch, before Scott Servais congratulated him and asked him to sign his mask.

This was not the first time that Fauci had appeared during an MLB Major League game to throw out the first pitch before a game; he appeared in 2020 during a duel between the Yankees and Nationals.

Fauci threw a ball so badly it landed about 10-15 feet from home plate. The covid-19 expert was swept up in the throw, with social distancing jokes continually flying after the disappointing heave.

This time, his pitch was much better and he even came close to striking out the Mariners manager. Seattle’s squad evened the series after beating the Yankees 1-0 on Tuesday.
