Bryce Harper joins the United States’ ‘Dream Team’ for the World Baseball Classic
Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper announced that he will play in the World Baseball Classic with the United States next year.

After losing the final to Japan in the last edition of the World Baseball Classic, the United States is focused on revenge and, given the growth of many countries, will send its strongest roster next year.
Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, Kyle Schwarber and Will Smith are among those already committed, and they are now joined by Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper, who confirmed his participation on Tuesday via his Instagram account.
“I first wore the colours on my chest at 15. There is no other feeling like this. I am very excited to announce that I will be representing the United States in the World Baseball Classic,” Harper wrote on the social network.
The United States is assembling a new ‘Dream Team’ for the World Baseball Classic. Three of the five home run leaders have already confirmed their participation in the 2026 tournament: Cal Raleigh (60), Kyle Schwarber (56) and Aaron Judge (53).
They will also feature the hits leader, Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals, as well as an experienced pitching staff that includes the two best pitchers of the season, Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes.
