If projections are to be believed, the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees will lift the World Series trophy in the next few years.

The Major League Baseball season looms just over the horizon and new hopes are placed in teams around major league baseball.

The Houston Astros lifted the Commissioner’s Trophy at the end of last season, winning in six against a stubbornly difficult Philadelphia Phillies.

As the dust settles on the biggest of the off-season trade deals, all eyes turn to the question of who will be the front-runners for the 2023 World Series.

The MLB itself has been in charge of making the official projections of which team will end up on top of the heap for the next 10 years, and just who they will need to get past to taste glory.

Dodgers and Yankees in the World Series

According to the league’s own projections, the Los Angeles Dodgers are favorites to win the World Series next season, topping the Toronto Blue Jays. The last time the Dodgers won the title was in the covid-shortened 2020 season, tainting the title in the eyes of some. They have been highly touted since then, picked to win in both 2021 and 2022, falling short in the post season both times.

But as eye-catching as the Dodgers are, perhaps the one name that can attract more attention is that of the New York Yankees with Aaron Judge. According to the projection, they will be champions in 2027 defeating the Chicago Cubs, something that hasn’t happened since 2009.
