Does Teoscar Hernández want to stay in LA?
The Dominican baseball outfielder signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the winter but hopes to stay in Los Angeles longer.
Toescar Hernández came to the Dodgers in the winter, signing a one-year contract for $23.5 million, but agreed to defer $8.5 million so they could sign Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow. The Dominican will receive the rest of his salary in 10 installments every July 1 between 2030 and 2039.
The 31-year-old has been playing at a high level for the Dodgers and is one of the most consistent hitters in the star-studded lineup this season. In 256 at-bats, he has driven in 48 runs and 16 home runs, becoming the player with the most home runs on the Dodgers roster, surpassing Shohei Ohtani by one.
The Dodgers needed someone who got better in big moments, and Teoscar Hernández is looking like that guy.

His wish is to stay with the Dodgers
“I want to stay. I don’t want to keep hanging around the league. I feel good here, comfortable. I think this is a good opportunity for me to win. That’s the most important thing for me. It’s a great group. I would love to stay,” Teoscar Hernández told MLB.com.
