Soto remains a big candidate to lift the MVP award and even with his current statistics, he is beginning to be compared to the MLB legend Babe Ruth.
According to the specialized account in baseball stats Opta Stats, Juan José Soto Pacheco is the only player in MLB history to record 49 hits, 33 RBIs, 9 home runs, and 25 wins in 38 games since Babe Ruth did it in 1926.
But he has also been doing a good job in defense. He has two defensive runs saved after having -8 in the last two campaigns.
Juan Soto is still looking to extend his stay with The Bronx Bombers, as he will become a free agent in 2025. The Dominican is pursuing a contract of close to 500 million dollars.

49 hits, 33 RBI, 26 walks, 9 HR, 4 SB, 25 wins
Since RBI became an official stat in 1920, the only other MLB player (on any team) to reach all of those numbers over his first 38 games of a season was Babe Ruth in 1926. pic.twitter.com/oTlZ5GMMQ1
