The Houston Astros and New York Yankees will play Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium, Le Bronx.

This is the third time in six postseasons that these two teams have played against one another in the ALCS. The Astros, who began the series with two games in Houston, led the best-of-seven series by a 2-0 margin. While they will start Cristian Javier in Game 3 tonight, Lance McCullers will start Game 4 on Sunday night.

The winner of this game will advance to the World Series, to face the winner of the Padres-Phillies NLCS.

Astros: Cristian Javier will start Game 3; Lance McCullers Jr. will go in Game 4 on Sunday

Yankees: Gerrit Cole (2-0, 2.03 ERA in the postseason) starts at home, pitching on extended rest after his Game 4 vs. the Guardians in the ALDS on Sunday. Cole yielded two runs over seven innings in a winning attempt vs. Cleveland, walking one while striking out eight. In six postseason starts with the Yankees, Cole is 4-1 with a 3.21 ERA. His 11.51 strikeouts per nine innings ratio comes third in history, behind Kenley Jansen (12.95) and Stephen Strasburg (11.55).

When and how to watch Astros vs Yankees Game 3

Game 3 of the ALCS kicks off on Saturday at 5:07 p.m. ET, and will be carried on TBS.

Injuries

Astros: Houston continues to be as healthy as they’ve been this season. Outfielder Michael Brantley was ruled out for the season in June due to shoulder surgery and catcher Jason Castro due to knee surgery.

Yankees: After colliding with Cabrera in an attempt to get a popup in Game 5, Aaron Hicks’ season ended early with a left knee injury. He is estimated to recover in six weeks.Three players are traveling with the team but are not placed on the roster: outfielder Andrew Benintendi (right wrist discomfort), infielder DJ LeMahieu (right foot ligament) and right-hander Ron Marinaccio (stress reaction in right shin).
