How many postseason appearances have the Brewers had in their history?

The Milwaukee team claimed its second consecutive division crown and its third in the last four seasons.

The Milwaukee Brewers (88-64) secured the National League Central Division championship for the 2024 Major League Baseball season without having to play. The Oakland Athletics beat the Chicago Cubs, giving the division crown to the team managed by Pat Murphy.

Both the Brewers and Cubs can finish the regular season with the same record, but Milwaukee has the tiebreaker advantage thanks to having won eight of the 13 games in the direct series.

This will be the 10th time in Brewers history that they have reached the postseason. In 2011 and 2018, they twice finished just short of the World Series and will look to break that barrier in 2024 and play for the chance to win the Commissioner’s Trophy.

Brewers celebrate with win over Phillies

Despite securing the division crown thanks to the Athletics, the Brewers closed the night with a victory over the Philadelphia Phillies (91-61), who are seeking to stay at the top of the National League to get a chance to rest during the Wild Card round.

The Milwaukee team won 2-1 thanks to Jake Bauers, who left their rivals lying down with an RBI single, which Jackson Chourio scored.

The Phillies’ loss prevented them from clinching a postseason berth. They have the best record in baseball and lead the NL East by seven games over the Mets. They are also leading the Dodgers by one game for the best record in the National League.
