Ever since MLB.TV moved to the streaming service giant, it’s become a popular service thousands subscribe to every year.

How much does MLB.TV cost and what does it provide?

As Amazon Prime members in the U.S., viewers can subscribe to MLB.TV for $24.99/month, or if they prefer, a yearly plan of $149.99. With the membership, fans will be provided with streaming access to live and on-demand regular-season out-of-market games. In addition to the games, baseball lovers who use Fire TV devices can also now enjoy Prime Video’s new X-Ray feature. X-Ray will allow viewers to access live in-game stats, team and player details, and even play-by-play information while they watch games.

While many baseball fans are already quite aware of what the baseball viewing platform offers, many others are still having some doubts, and we are here to answer them.

Where can I watch MLB games this year?

MLB returns on March 30, and nationally televised games will air on FOX, FS1, TBS, ESPN, and MLB Network. Viewers will need access to their regional sports network (RSN) in order to not miss out on their local team’s games.

For 2023, DIRECTV is the best TV provider for watching the MLB season. Its CHOICE™ plan offers viewers every primary MLB channel with a wide variety of RSNs, in addition to MLB EXTRA INNINGS® for out-of-market game access. It’s important to note, however, that this requires a two-year contract commitment.

Here are some of the best ways you can watch this season’s games:

  • Editor’s choice: DIRECTV ($64.99–$154.99/mo.) with MLB EXTRA INNINGS ($149.99 per season)
  • Best value: Sling TV ($40.00–$55.00/mo.) with Sports Extra ($11.00–$15.00/mo.)
  • Best MLB streaming app: MLB.TV ($129.99–$149.99/yr.)
  • Most affordable: OTA antenna ($20.00–$60.00 one-time purchase)
