Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani has been dealing with several injuries for much of the current season. Last month, team manager Dave Roberts confirmed that he missed a few games with back problems and is now playing with a hamstring injury.

The Dodgers have four consecutive losses, and it may be that Shohei Ohtani’s performance is affecting the team’s offense. The Los Angeles designated hitter suffered the injury in the last series at home when he was hit in the leg and has since begun to feel discomfort.

It is not a serious injury

The team’s medical staff advised him to take it easy on the bases for now, but he has kept playing because it’s not a serious issue. His hamstring discomfort only affects his stolen base production in the short term, not his hitting ability at the plate.

On Saturday, during the Dodgers’ most recent loss, Shohei Ohtani struck out in four at-bats and could not steal a base due to the discomfort he was experiencing. His performance has declined in recent games, with 0 hits in 10 at-bats leading up to Saturday’s game against the Reds. His decreased production is due to not being in full health.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to close out the series in Cincinnati against the Reds with a win on Sunday morning. Despite adding four consecutive losses, the ninth Angelina remains in first place in the National League Western Conference with a record of 33 and 21, with an advantage of 5.5 games over the second-place San Francisco Giants.
