Estados Unidos Update:

Major League Baseball is deep in its free agency frenzy – the time when rosters take shape and fortunes shift. Among the biggest names drawing attention is Kyle Tucker, the four-time All-Star outfielder now on the radar of three powerhouses: the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Yankees appear the most aggressive suitor, partly due to Cody Bellinger’s uncertain future. With Bellinger also testing free agency, New York is looking for a proven left-handed hitter to fill that gap in the lineup.

Tucker, who hit 22 home runs, drove in 73 runs, stole 25 bases and posted an .841 OPS over 136 games last season with the Chicago Cubs, earned his second Silver Slugger award. His blend of power, speed and defense makes him one of the most complete outfielders on the market.

Reports suggest the Blue Jays, buoyed by an estimated $50 million windfall from their World Series run, have entered the race for his signature. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are also in the mix, especially after freeing up roughly $87 million by parting ways with Clayton Kershaw, Michael Conforto, Chris Taylor and Kirby Yates – a move that gives them flexibility to make a major splash.

All signs point to Tucker landing a multi-year contract worth around $300 million, a figure that would secure his future as one of MLB’s premier stars for years to come.
