Estados Unidos Update:

The offseason negotiations in Major League Baseball are moving steadily, and it is now confirmed that the reigning back-to-back champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, have made the push to keep one of their key Latin American figures for one more year.

The California club has agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million deal with shortstop Miguel Rojas, who will return for a final season. Reports indicate he already has one foot in retirement, with plans to embark on a new chapter focused on supporting player development.

Rojas has been a central presence over the past three seasons. He hit seven home runs with 27 runs batted in and posted a .715 OPS across 114 appearances in the recently completed campaign. He is remembered for the home run that tied Game 7 of the World Series in the bottom of the ninth, a swing that kept alive the hope of lifting the title against the Toronto Blue Jays.
