Although the Asian team took the lead early on, Mexico came from behind against one of the hardest working teams in the international tournament.
Olíver Zepeda hit a single at the top of the fifth and that got his teammates believing. The game went into extra innings where Zayed Salinas was the hero of the match by connecting at the top of the eighth, making the final 2-1. Check out the hit below.
Mexico’s chance of baseball glory
With the victory against Chinese Taipei, the Mexican National Team took its third victory in the super round with a record of 3-1, the same as Korea and Japan above. The last game against Japan will decide if they go to the grand final.
