MLB will see some pretty big changes in 2023 and it all gets started as it means to continue, with something new. Major League Baseball has released its schedule for the 2023 season, highlighting these changes that will kick off on Opening Day. For the first time ever, all 30 teams will play against each other.

All of the action will get underway on March 30, with all 30 teams in action. With rotational inter-league play a thing of the past, every single team will play at least one series against every other team. As part of the new CBA, and in an effort to create a more balanced schedule, this will hopefully help to eliminate divisions like the AL East being packed with powerhouses who find it hard to claw their way into the post season, while other divisions can have a fairly easy ride of it all.

MLB chief operations and strategy officer Chris Marinak released a statement, saying, “This new format creates more consistent opponent matchups as Clubs compete for Postseason berths, particularly in the recently expanded Wild Card round. Additionally, this fan-friendly format provides fans with the opportunity to see more opponent matchups, with a particular focus on dramatically expanding our most exciting Interleague matchups, and offers more national exposure to the star players throughout our game.”

Divisional and intra-league games will each see a slight decline in order to more than double the number of inter-league games and bring it into alignment. Each team will have two four-game series against their geographic rivals (Mets-Yankees, Dodgers-Angels, Astros-Rangers, etc) and a three-game series against every other team in the opposite league.

Here are the 15 games on the schedule for Opening Day 2023:
