The 2022 MLB postseason continues Wednesday with two NLDS matchups.

The defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves are hoping to defend their crown after dropping Game 1 of their matchup to the Phillies, while the Dodgers are attempting to take a 2-0 series lead against the Padres. In the AL, both the Astros and Yankees (the American League’s top two seeds) won their first Games on Tuesday over the Mariners and Guardians, respectively. The ALDS matchups are set to continue Thursday.

This is the largest playoff field in MLB history with the new format for a 162-game season. There will be four best-of-3 Wild Card Series games that will replace the standard single-elimination Wild Card Games, before a best-of-5 Division Series.

The Padres, Mariners, Guardians, and Phillies won their World Card Series matchups and advanced to the League Division series, while the Mets, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Rays were eliminated in the best-of-three Wild Card Series over the weekend.

Let’s take a look at how to watch the Division Series games Wednesday, Oct. 12

The 2022 MLB postseason will stretch beyond October with Game 4 of the World Series slated for Nov. 1, and Game 7 set for Nov. 5. It would be the latest World Series game in the history of the MLB. Because of the owner’s lockout, each team had three makeup games added to the end of their schedule.
