Yankees vs. Guardians- can New York bounce back?
The Yankees are down 2-1 in the series after winning Game 1 then suffering two consecutive losses. In Saturday’s Game 3, Cleveland recovered from a 5-3 deficit in the ninth and scored three runs to end with a walk-off victory, 6-5.
Oscar Gonzalez was the hero of the night after his single at the bottom of the ninth (with one out remaining) carried Cleveland to a win under what looked like impossible circumstances.
With momentum and home field advantage on their side, the Guardians are confident that they can wrap up the contest tonight and move on to face the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series.
