Olivia Dunne shares immediate rating for boyfriend Paul Skenes’ season
Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes is having an outstanding season and widely considered one of the best by a young pitcher in recent baseball history.
Despite the fact that the Pittsburgh Pirates have been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention for the 2025 MLB season as they languish at the bottom of the NL Central Division, there have been some green shoots for the team.
23-year-old Paul Skenes has hit the headlines for his pitching prowess during the season.
He is set to finish the season with an earned run average (ERA) of 1.97 (or 2.03 leading into his final start), which is an exceptionally low number for a starting pitcher in the modern era.
Skenes set a new Pittsburgh Pirates franchise single-season record for a right-handed pitcher, surpassing 210 strikeouts and finishing the season with 216.
His performance is being compared to historical pitching greats and is the youngest pitcher with a sub-2.00 ERA since Dwight Gooden in 1985.
Despite the season sed to end soon for the Pirates the pitcher is considered the heavy favorite to win the National League Cy Young Award for the best pitcher and also got some social media plaudits from his partner, SI swimsuit model Olivia Dunne.
